Stretch Goals (Spoilers?)
almost 6 years ago – Tue, Jun 26, 2018 at 05:14:12 PM

This campaign has been amazing, you’re amazing, no matter what happens we’re thrilled to be bringing you this game.

Alright Vast family, we really want to show you final stretch goals, but we are worried the impact is going to be lost if they unlock too close to the end. So we’re going to make a deal with you:

Here are some social media posts:

Twitter

Facebook

If you have shared or if you haven't shared yet, PLEASE let people know about Vast: The Mysterious Manor! Make sure you're using the #VastTMM hashtag so we can count everyone's participation. Follow us on Twitter and Facebook if you haven't yet and we'll count that too!

If you do your best (retweet, follow, share, like) then we just miiiiiight...

UNLOCK THE REMAINING STRETCH GOALS EARLY.

Revealing the last stretch goals (SPOILERS!):

Shiny

Shiny is the last of the Skeletons. She can deploy ahead of the other Skeletons, by using the pits, and her gear provides the squad with support.

Shadow Paladin

During a previous era he was cursed and bound to the Manor (or the Cave). His gameplay is based on restrictions called Chains. Although his health is very high, each time he breaks a rule he wounds himself. He must destroy things around him to gain Ruin which helps him break the Chains. Once enough are broken he can escape the Manor.

The Shadow Paladin is a variant monster and can replace the Spider or the Dragon.

Plus look how awesome this miniature is!

Other Things

Difficulty Cards

My friend Josh keeps reminding me to remind you that there will be difficulty cards in Vast: The Mysterious Manor. These provide 5 cards per role and allow the player to set the difficulty (the middle being the default play style) of each role. In this way players can balance experience levels between the players.

We reached a new stretch goal! We are now adding a Force Walls to the miniatures in Creepy Corridors as well as Force Wall for the meeples.

In addition, we've gotten some new sculpts for some of the stretch goals that have been unlocked. Check these out!

As I hope everyone can see, this box is going to be absolutely stuffed with miniatures! Thanks everyone!

Origins! (Image heavy)
almost 6 years ago – Mon, Jun 25, 2018 at 01:25:24 PM

Origins is a game convention hosted by GAMA mid-June every year in Columbus Ohio. We went last year and had a good time so we decided to go again this year. Its not as large as Gen Con but I love how much more time we get to interact with people. Its a bit of a haul though with our first event starting Wednesday night.

We got to Origins Tuesday night and walked in Wednesday morning to this sight.

We set up quickly Wednesday afternoon and I even had time to model with this guy. Kyle Ferrin and his wife built a 100% scale Casty miniature (a full set will retail for 10,000).

My entire staff made the show and we had a few volunteers come help us. We also had early copies of Root from the factory to show off. Here are some more photos of the Vast prototypes! I ran several games for reviewers, as a company we ran ticketed Vast and Root games. We were continuously demoing Vast: The Mysterious Manor, Root, and Vast: The Crystal Caverns at our booth.

Kyle Ferrin also got to run some fifth edition D&D for us, which I haven't had a chance to play yet despite playing all other editions. His Dungeon Mastering is top notch.

Did we also mention that we had the amazing Katie Aidley from Katie's Game Corner come volunteer at the booth with us? If you haven't checked out her content yet, you definitely should! Her presence all the way from the UK was much appreciated and it was great to have such a lovely voice and presence spend time with us.

Also, shameless plug for Root, which we had final production copies to show off before Kickstarter copies are officially being loaded on the boat!

Thanks Origins and we will see you next year!

As we head into the final week and I am no longer getting ready for the convention, I will try to update more. Here is what we have in store.

Meeples - We have decided to officially go forward with the meeples.

Live play - I am trying to get my evening group organized to play on Thursday night. We will broadcast our game.

PNP - I want to get that ready. Also update the Tabletop Simulator set.

Thanks everyone! It looks like we are having a good day today.
